Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus has officially released and this FPS (first person shooter) is looking to kick all kinds of Nazi ass. However, while this title may look fairly straightforward at first glance, The New Colossus is deceptively deep. There are a surprising amount of levels and sub-missions that players will be tasked with completing. Following in the footsteps of the last Wolfenstein game, some missions will even take place in the hub area that is usually relegated for story purposes.
On normal difficulty, it took me roughly 12-13 hours to complete the entire campaign. However, this time will vary based on your own skill level and what difficulty you play Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus on. Make no mistake, this game is quite brutal in later sections and some areas took multiple tries to finish. Enemies hit far harder then they used too and stealth is not always a viable option for specific areas in the campaign. If you do plan on sneaking through every section flawlessly, then you can easily tag an extra two or so hours into this game’s runtime.
The difficulty modes will also factor into this game as they affect both yours and the enemy’s damage output. This means the higher you go the harder it will be to kill foes and complete sections, which basically means stealth is required. Keep in mind there are also tons of collectibles to obtain if you are looking to truly 100% this title.
Most of Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus‘ missions are broken up into multiple stages, each of which can take a fair amount of time to finish. Some areas, especially early on, will go by quickly while others can be especially lengthy. If you are considering picking up Wolfenstein 2, just know you are in for a rather lengthy FPS story. Remember, this is a single player only game so don’t expect any multiplayer content to ever come to this title.
