Chicago Bears tight end Zach Miller appeared to break his leg on a play Sunday in a game against the New Orleans Saints.
With the Saints ahead, 14-3 midway through the third quarter, Bears rookie quarterback Mitchell Trubisky dropped back into the pocket on 3rd and 10 from the Saints’ 26-yard line and let the ball fly. He found Miller with a in the end zone, who made what appeared to be a miraculous touchdown catch. But on the play, Miller’s left leg planted and buckled as he fell to the ground, making for a scary sight.

Officials reviewed the “catch” after the play and determined he was juggling the ball on his way to the ground and it was ruled an incomplete pass. The Bears settled for a field goal instead. Miller was tended to by the medical staff and brought to the locker room to evaluate his injury. There’s been no word so far on the severity of the injury, but it certainly didn’t look good to the naked eye.
