WATCH: NYPD Responds to ‘Suspicious’ Person at City Vineyard in Manhattan

Police on scene at City Vineyard.

Police responded to a “suspicious person” with a “possible device” at City Vineyard at Pier 26 in Hudson River Park in Lower Manhattan, near the scene of an incident where multiple people were killed nearby.

NYPD officers searched the area near City Vineyard and have declared the incident clear, according to police scanner reports and witnesses. Police have said they are not looking for anyone at this time. You can see video of the scene below:

The incident at City Vineyard came after at least six people were killed and others were wounded when a gunman opened fire and used a truck to ram into pedestrians and cyclists in the area of Chambers and West streets, near Stuyvesant High School. A suspect is in custody in that incident.

At City Vineyard, officers swarmed the area and told people to stay inside after getting the report about a suspicious man possibly holding a device. Michael Dorf, who runs the Tribeca winery, posted on Twitter that everyone there was OK, but snipers were perched nearby.
