Former NFL wide receiver Terry Glenn is dead at the age of 43. Former player Tony Casillas was the first to report the tragic news, and multiple outlets have confirmed Glenn’s passing.
Fort Worth Star Telegram’s Mac Engel reported Glenn died in a car accident in Irving, Texas. According to the Dallas Morning News, Glenn was taken to the Parkland Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead about 12 a.m. on November 20.
According to TMZ, it was a single-car crash, and Glenn was ejected from the car. His fiancee was in the vehicle, and is being treated in the ICU of a local hospital.
Clarence Hill noted Glenn was engaged, and left behind a new baby. On May 21st, Glenn posted a photo of their new son, Greyson Tyree Glenn, on Facebook.
According to 247 Sports, Glenn is survived by four children. Glenn spent 12 years in the NFL, playing six seasons for the Patriots, five for the Cowboys and one season with the Packers. Glenn had 8,823 receiving yards and 44 touchdowns over his career. Glenn was also the first player to catch a touchdown pass from Tom Brady.
The Texas Revolution, an indoor football league team, hired Glenn to be their offensive coordinator in 2015. Glenn was active in his foundation, 83 Kids. According to the foundation’s website, the non-profit focuses on the foster care community.

In Glenn’s last social media post on October 13th, he spoke about his charity golf tournament.
